A Typical Day at Las Brisas
No two days at Las Brisas are exactly alike, yet each follows the natural rhythm of birding, rest, and connection to place.
Early Morning — The World Awakens
The day begins at first light, when bird activity is at its peak. Guests head out with experienced guides to explore the remarkable habitats of the San Blas region — mangroves, tropical forests, wetlands, and coastal environments alive with birdsong and movement.
Late Morning — Return & Relaxation
After the morning excursion where guests are sent off with a delicious to-go breakfast, most days guests return to Las Brisas for time to recharge or a dip in the pool. Some review bird lists and photographs, while others enjoy the pool, gardens, or a quiet moment with coffee beneath the palms.
Afternoon — Choose Your Pace
Afternoons are intentionally flexible. Guests may join a second birding outing, explore nearby beaches or local culture, rest in a hammock, or simply enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Optional well-being experiences may be available depending on the schedule. A few of the days luches at local palapa ramada restaurants are organized so guests can have the pleasure of trying some of the local cuisine and see a bit more of the area as well.
Evening — Shared Stories & Sunset Light
As temperatures soften, guests gather again — often for casual birding nearby or conversation about the day’s sightings. Evenings at Las Brisas are relaxed and social, filled with shared meals, laughter, and the anticipation of tomorrow’s discoveries. Or maybe Mark Stackhouse or Francisco Garcia will whisk you into the town of San Blas for dinner at his favorite taco stand.
At Las Brisas, the experience balances focused birding with time to slow down, allowing every guest — birder or companion — to enjoy the day in their own way.
